The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Actor for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and cartoon version.
This performer joins a number of fresh additions set to bring the group to reality, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of Alabasta.
Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
