Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within the urban setting.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure are included.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- However, their status as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Schemers groups.
Audiences can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
